How ECCO Supply Saskatoon Builds Custom Metal Projects for Every Industry
When most people think of ECCO Supply, they think HVAC. But behind the Saskatoon branch doors, something far more expansive is taking shape: custom metal fabrication for nearly every kind of client, from farmers and homeowners to commercial builders and local restaurants.
“Most people think that we just do HVAC,” says Ryan Marushak, one of the team members at the Saskatoon Custom Fab Shop. “But at the Custom Fab Shop, we can do it for anything. Homeowners, agriculture, cabins. You name it, we can pretty much do it.”

Meet the team turning ideas into metal
The team at Saskatoon have seen it all, including drawings on napkins, quick phone sketches, and one-off concepts brought to life. Their shop thrives on creativity and problem-solving. As they put it: “You give us the idea, we can make it a reality.”
That might mean building custom fire pits, stainless steel range hoods, seed separators, signage, or even a treadmill-walking robot for a fitness chain store. “They had them across Saskatchewan,” recalls Colin Delorme, Saskatoon’s branch manager. “We figured out how to do it together.”
What they build (Hint: it’s not just HVAC)
The Saskatoon team tackles projects across a wide range of industries:
Agriculture: Seed separators, cyclones, hoppers and replacement parts for farm machinery
Food Processing: Stainless steel tables and countertops, custom butcher blocks, stainless steel shelving
Hospitality: Restaurant range hoods, custom signage, and decorative metalwork
Architectural: Stainless steel corner guards, wall caps and chimney caps
Healthcare: Stainless handrails and work surfaces used in hospitals
High-Tech/Communications: Outdoor enclosures and cabinets for SaskTel equipment
HVAC: Transitions, elbows, ducting of all dimensions, plenums, and filter racks for residential, commercial, and industrial projects
Retail & Residential: Fire pits, privacy screens, yard and cabin signs, even laser-cut 3D metal puzzles.
Mining: Ducting for ventilation, exhaust ducting, and dust collections
They also take on prototyping and design-support work, helping clients find solutions for one-off or unusual projects.
Now in its 25th year, the Saskatoon fabrication shop covers 28,588 square feet and employs a team of 23. While several ECCO Supply branches offer fabrication, Saskatoon is known internally for its versatility. “Most people are surprised when they see the variety of custom work we do,” says Ryan.
Beyond ducting and HVAC parts, the team creates detailed metal art like laser-cut fish or mountain scenes. They’re also the only ECCO Supply fabrication location with CWB-certified welders, a designation from the Canadian Welding Bureau that ensures all welding meets national safety and quality standards.

- Laser cutting time
- Welding and finishing requirements
- Whether parts need to be bent or rolled
- Type and thickness of metal (light gauge to heavy plate, stainless, aluminum, galvanized, mild steel)
- Customers are also welcome to supply their own material for us to fabricate
