Position Summary
The Regional Sales Manager is responsible to ensure profitable growth in sales revenue for a specific geographic region through planning, execution, and management of a supportive team. Generally, the Regional Sales Manager is part of the management team responsible for creating and maintaining a professional and well-run organization which is able to capitalize on new opportunities while meeting all the challenges of its existing business.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing leadership and guidance to Outside Sales Associates and to all associates in their region as appropriate;
- Consistently providing superior customer service to ECCO Supply customers so they will want to do repeat business;
- Seeking out new business opportunities for recommendation to the Vice President & General Manager and executive management;
- Meeting with and providing the Procurement Department relevant and timely information regarding resale product sales. This information will include research analysis of projected sales forecasts, feedback results from customer surveys, and any other information that will assist in making buying decisions;
- Providing the executive team and Company ownership with a monthly report detailing market conditions, updates on sales, operations and HR related matters within their region and activities undertaken and planned by them and their team;
- Leading, scheduling and planning for regular sales meetings with your management and sales personnel. These meetings should include regular monitoring of current operating effectiveness, efficiency, market conditions pertaining to pricing, competitor activity, and customer service issues. Analysis of sales trends with specific customers’ needs to be performed with consistent regularity. Marketing initiatives should also be discussed at appropriate times during these meetings;
- Reviewing individual expense budgets and reports with your subordinate staff on at least a monthly basis to ensure that they are reasonable, appropriate, conform to Company policies and procedures and for ensuring that anomalies or variances from budgets are examined and dealt with appropriately. Strict adherence to expense budgets needs to be maintained;
- Assessing the marketplace and putting forward ideas to purchase or create new or improved products that could be manufactured by ECCO. This information is to be passed on to the Marketing and Procurement Departments for examination and development if approved by senior management including the Vice President & General Manager;
Qualifications:
- Experience overseeing $30M+ revenue OR any experience in a Branch Manager role, Operations Manager role, or Sales Management role with any ECCO Supply branch;
- A degree or college diploma in administration, accounting, business, engineering or management;
- Leadership experience either with ECCO or any previous employer;
- Applied knowledge and understanding of HVAC systems;
- Strong track record of exceeding company sales targets in a complex sales environment;
- Proven ability to influence and develop associates to achieve objectives with a team approach,
- Business acumen (sound judgement, managerial perspective and basic business understanding);
