The Shipper & Receiver will be responsible for all functions associated with material receiving and finished goods delivery. Including matching packing list to purchase orders, identifying materials for projects, que of project materials, restocking where required, matching outgoing goods with packing slips, contacting freight companies and customers and preparing any outbound paperwork. The Associate will perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of their abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism.


General Duties:

  • Make a personal commitment to consistently provide superior customer service to ECCO’s customers so they will want to do repeat business with ECCO Supply
  • Maintain good working relationship with all co-workers and ECCO employees
  • Read and comply with ECCO’s Health and Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Read and comply with ECCO’s Human Resources Policies and Procedures
  • Assist in the success of ECCO’s Safety Program with suggestions and by setting a good example, also by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work
  • Adhere to shipping and receiving policies, procedures and regulatory compliance procedures
  • Receive all raw materials and goods in a timely fashion and in compliance with ECCO’s receiving procedures
  • Maintain the shipping/receiving areas, and yard in a clean and organized manner; fill stock bins as necessary and as directed
  • Perform general physical activities in order to load, unload, sort and move shipments by hand or using material handling equipment
  • Pick/ship goods to customers in a efficiently and accurately manner
  • Ensure proper documentation is supplied with each shipment; this includes packing, sealing, and labeling materials to prepare for shipping
  • Fill out/prepare shipping tickets and shipping labels
  • Assist with loading flat deck trailers, preparing and shipping LTL orders as necessary
  • Ensure material racks are appropriately stocked.
  • Report any maintenance requirements, accidents, incidents, and near-misses immediately to your supervisor
  • Participate in yearly inventory count
  • Be responsible for forklift daily/weekly maintenance list and report any maintenance concerns immediately. Including general housekeeping lists.
  • Be responsible for shop lockup and ensure all equipment is in the off position.
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by Management


  • Previous work experience as a shipper/receiver in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with 2 years minimum experience.
  • Post-Secondary Education an asset
  • Must have a forklift license
  • Physically capable of lifting up to 50lb
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision in a busy environment; as well as ability to work within a team
  • Strong sense of time organization and urgency
  • Good written and verbal communication skills
  • Desire to be a long-term employee and contribute to the company’s overall success
