We are actively seeking two Purchasers to join our team, each specializing in a specific region: One in British Columbia and one in Alberta. The Purchasers will play a pivotal role in overseeing and managing pricing, monitoring cost fluctuations, addressing discrepancies, and handling the procurement of raw materials within their respective areas. Additionally, they will be tasked with cultivating and maintaining strong relationships with vendors skillfully negotiating contracts, and preparing comprehensive reports.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Duties:

  • Collaborate with departments to understand raw material and inventory needs
  • Optimize procurement costs and maintain inventory levels
  • Negotiate favorable terms with suppliers and oversee supplier performance

Requirements

  • Previous experience working in a Purchasing role is required
  • 2+ years in HVAC, manufacturing or related industry – an asset
  • A degree or college diploma would be considered an asset
  • Must be willing to attend educational courses to supplement their existing professional experience for a period of time deemed suitable by management
  • Excellent communication skills; high energy, enthusiastic with proven people skills and ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize is critical
