Production Planner

The Production Planner will help organize how ECCO manufactures items, distributes product, and utilizes resources. This role will also create inventory records, forecast inventory orders and estimate costs for creating and shipping products.

The Production Planner will perform all duties in a timely and orderly fashion to the best of their abilities and with the utmost due care, integrity and professionalism.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

General Duties:

  • Promote continuous improvement of procedures and processes within the department
  • Receive orders for product and plan production to meet order requirements
  • Maintain system knowledge to properly support inventory evaluations, adjustments, and general transactions
  • Read and comply with ECCO’s Health & Safety Policies and Procedures
  • Assist in the success of ECCO’s Safety Program with suggestions, by setting a good example, and
    by ensuring that safety is at the forefront of your actions while at work

Production Planning:

 

  •  Manage the daily stock transfer for assigned products between Distribution Centers
  • Maintain production schedule for assigned manufacturing departments
  • Maintain and analyze Daily Planning reports
  • Communicate regularly with Production Managers regarding capacities, production targets and scheduling issues
  • Assist with setting priorities for manufacturing and communicate with appropriate stakeholders
  • Review daily stock status reports and production reports and investigate any irregularities
  • Ensure adequate safety procedures are in place; as well as ensure personnel is complying with safety protocols
  • Report any maintenance requirements, accidents, incidents, and near-misses immediately to the Plant Manager and Health & Safety Administrator
  • Other duties as deemed necessary by management

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years experience in Production Planning role, preferably in a manufacturing setting; HVAC industry
  • Production & Inventory Management certification through APICS is an asset
  • Excellent analytical ability and with high attention to detail
  • Strong planning and organizational skills
  • Excellent communication skills; high energy, enthusiastic with proven people skills and ability to work as part of a team and independently
  • Work with a high degree of emotional intelligence and business integrity
