ABOUT THE POSITION:

The Facilities Manager is responsible for the overall maintenance, operation, and improvement of Ecco Group’s facilities. This role ensures a safe, efficient, and comfortable working environment for all employees and visitors. The Facilities Manager will oversee a variety of functions, including building maintenance, security, space planning, vendor management, and budget administration to support operational efficiency.

 

DUTIES:

Building Maintenance:

  • Oversee preventative maintenance programs, repairs, and renovations for building systems (HVAC, electrical, plumbing, etc.).
  • Manage and coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs and maintenance services.

Space Planning & Management:

  • Develop and implement space planning strategies to optimize office utilization.
  • Manage office moves, furniture installation, and other space-related projects.

Security & Safety:

  • Ensure the security and safety of the facilities, including access control, alarm systems, and emergency procedures. Conduct regular safety inspections and drills.
  • Maintain compliance with all relevant safety regulations.

Vendor and Contract Management:

  • Negotiate contracts with vendors for various services (e.g., cleaning, landscaping, security).
  • Manage vendor performance and ensure service quality.

Budget Management:

  • Develop and manage facilities budget. Track expenses, analyze cost trends, and identify opportunities for cost savings.
  • Analyze cost trends and make recommendations for operational efficiencies.

Project Management:

  • Manage facilities-related projects, such as renovations, expansions, and equipment upgrades.
  • Develop project plans, timelines, and budgets.

Regulatory Compliance:

  • Ensure compliance with all applicable building codes, regulations, and environmental standards.
  • Maintain documentation and records for inspections, permits, and regulatory requirements.

 

ABOUT THE IDEAL CANDIDATE:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Facilities Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred.
  • 3-5 years of experience in facilities management, preferably in a similar industry.
  • Experience in vendor management, contract negotiation, and budget administration.
  • Excellent project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to follow instructions and maintain discretion, level-headedness, and patience.
